“The devotion to the memory of the dead is one of the most beautiful expressions of the Catholic spirit”. ~ Pope Saint John XXIII

imagesNow that we have passed the half-way mark of November, some of us may already have our eyes set on the coming season of Advent.  However, in her wisdom, the Church affords us the entire month of November to remember and to pray for the faithful departed, especially those whom we have known and loved.

I recently came across a list of ideas titled “20 Ways to Pray for the Holy Souls in Purgatory“.  It was put together by Gretchen, a recent convert and a new Lay Dominican.   I hope that you find, as I did, some new ideas to incorporate into prayer time in these waning days of the year.  In whatever practices you choose, may you be filled with peace as you remember and pray for your loved ones.
