We are a group of lay Dominicans who live in or near Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. We are part of Region 4 of the St. Joseph (or Eastern) Province, USA. Our chapter is named in honor of St.Thomas Aquinas.
Our Chapter meets monthly, usually on the second Sunday of the month, August-June, in the parlor at the Monastery of the Cloistered Dominican Nuns of the Perpetual Rosary, located at 1834 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA . We are blessed to have the support of the sisters who faithfully pray for us and who also provide us with a place to meet each month.
For members of the Lay Fraternities of St. Dominic, the Chapter is a primary place for living out our shared Dominican vocation in community. Our monthly meetings are structured on the four pillars of Dominican spirituality: prayer, study, community, and service. We begin most Chapter meetings with the Rosary. We also pray for each other and for the world as well as share our prayers of thanksgiving.
A part of each meeting is usually set aside for study and there is also time set aside so that we can talk and share events going on in our lives. Coming to the meeting each month is an important time to stay in touch with our Chapter members.
Our Chapter members are active in their families, neighborhoods and parishes. They are also involved in a number of ministries. Click here to learn more about these.
We welcome visitors! Please contact us so we can arrange for your visit to a Chapter meeting.
